Deanna, Accounts Payable

It has been Deanna’s  pleasure to be working with Dr. Viola for 20 years. She feels very grateful  to be working with an amazing team that provides wonderful dental care. She attended Monroe Community College and holds an associate degree in Business Administration. She is married with two children and enjoys spending time with her family. “It is a pleasure working with Dr. Viola and the whole staff,” says Deanna.

Lisa, Office Manager

Lisa has been in the dental field since 1977, where she began working for her father, Dr. Russell Gugino. “Throughout the years, I have truly come to have a passion for what I do. It is very rewarding to provide excellent dental care to our patients. Creating beautiful, healthy smiles is what I strive to achieve. Working for Dr. Joseph Viola allows me to continue to provide the highest quality of dentistry by improving our patients’ oral health,” says Lisa. She attended Our Lady of Mercy High School and is a graduate of Monroe Community College. Previously, Lisa has held Treatment Plan Coordinator, Scheduling Coordinator, Financial Coordinator and Dental Assistant positions. She is married with two daughters.

Chelene, Front Office Appointment Coordinator

Chelene started her dental career in 2010. “I have the privilege of interacting with our patients on a daily basis, as well as everyone I work with at Dr. Joseph Viola Dental.” Says Chelene. She is married and has one son. Outside of work she enjoys, reading, hiking, and most of all spending time with her family and friends.

Meri, Dental Assistant

Meri has been working with Dr. Viola since 2010. “I value his knowledge of dentistry, all that I have learned and continue to learn throughout each year ” says Meri. She is married with two sons and one daughter. In her free time she enjoys being with them.

Karen, Registered Dental Hygienist

“I believe in a caring and gentle approach to dentistry and am always willing to answer questions and modify techniques to improve a patient’s dental health,” says Karen. A hygienist for over 35 years – several of which she worked in a nursing home caring for the dental needs of geriatric patients – she can be found in our office on Fridays, touting the benefits of flossing and using Listerine for healthy gums and teeth. In fact, Karen believes so strongly in the benefits of Listerine, it has been rumored she is a company representative! A Rochester native, Karen resides in Irondequoit with her husband Gary, and two chocolate labs Henry and Wilson. Her son Peter and daughter-in-law Kati reside in Webster with their children Ruby and Conrad. She graduated from Monroe Community College with a degree in Dental Hygiene.

Michele, Registered Dental Hygienist. BS

A 1992 graduate form University of Maryland, Baltimore college of Dental Surgery, Michele has been working with Dr. Viola and his team since 2003.  She provided dental care in Maryland, Washington DC, and Pennsylvania before returning to Rochester, New York.

She also served as Adjunct Faculty, teaching clinical skill to Dental Hygiene students at Harrisburg Area Community College and MCC.

Galyna, Registered Dental Hygienist

Galyna has been working with Dr. Viola since 2018 and a dental professional since 2004.” I am very passionate about dental healthcare and enjoy making a connection with our patients.” says Galyna. Her heritage is Ukrainian and her passions include long walks by the water, yoga and family.

Heather, Registered Dental Hygienist

Heather has been in the dental field since 1989, becoming a hygienist in 1995. She has assisted in General Dentistry, Periodontics and Prosthodontics. Heather has over 10 years experience as a surgical assistant with several leading Periodontists, Prosthodontist and an Oral Surgeons. “I look on the years of surgical assisting with extreme gratitude. The surgeons I have had the privilege of working with were all instructors in their specific fields.  Everyday, working with them was always an opportunity to learn and ask questions. This education has proved invaluable to me in my career as a dental hygienist.”  Heather has a son and a big old dog. They all love their time together in Adirondacks with family and friends.
